That song is sung by Toby Keith - a country singer. It's about one of his bandmates who passed.

The song was written by Toby Keith in memory of his good friend Wayman Tisdale.

Wayman died in May, losing a two year battle to cancer. He had a productive career in the NBA that he left behind in 1997 to concentrate on jazz guitar, as the song says, to "play your upside down left handed
backwards bass guitar."

Toby Keith in a well known C&W singer that has written a number of songs that have crossed over music genre.

They were the best of friends.

This song reminds me of Robert and Lil Dave....The video just breaks your heart. Toby Keith does a great tribute to his friend!
